The Tourist Development Tax Collection for the month of December had a 23.7 percent increase over the same month in 2018 with a 16.9 percent increase over the 2018 fiscal year.

Winter Residents

The first Winter Resident Appreciation Day was held on January 17th at the Lyndell Building at the Panama City Beach Senior Center. The event drew quite a crowd where winter residents were treated to complimentary coffee, donuts and giveaways from local businesses!

 Sales Travel Show Update

Throughout the month of  February, the Visit Panama City Beach Sales team has many scheduled conferences and meetings including: Florida Huddle, a one-on-one appointment travel trade show for qualified domestic and international buyers, and wholesalers produced by VISIT Florida, IITA Summit (International Inbound Travel Association), an educational event for tour operators and industry suppliers nationwide, AAA Great Vacations Travel Expo, a consumer show attracting 15,000-20,000 potential visitors and the NY Times Travel Show, a globetrotting trade and consumer fair which attracts over 30,000 visitors and 550 exhibitors with cultural stages, travel experts, seminars, and more.

PCB Mardi Gras & Music Festival

This weekend is the annual PCB Mardi Gras & Music Festival at Pier Park! Please join us as we combine the excitement of authentic Mardi Gras celebration with the spectacular views of our emerald green water and sugar white sand. In conjunction with the Krewe of Dominique Youx's great Mardi Gras at the Beach parade, the festival is always held the weekend before Fat Tuesday and features entertainment for the whole family that you won't want to miss!

Welcome, Chad & Michael!

Visit Panama City Beach welcomes Chad Mazur and Michael Booini as the new Operations Manager and Marketing Manager at the Panama City Beach Sports Complex! 

An avid sports enthusiast from Reedsburg, Wisconsin, Chad joins the team with over five years experience in sport business and event management in both the indoor and outdoor spaces. Outside of work, Chad enjoys hitting the links in the beautiful Florida Panhandle.

Michael joins the Sports Complex with over 10 years experience marketing a wide range of Panama City Beach Resorts, Attractions, Restaurants and events. When he’s not photographing all the sports action from the sidelines, he doubles as a human climbing frame for his two sons, Felix and Max.

The lineup of fantastic entertainment and events in 2020 continues with the third annual UNwineD event, presented in partnership with Southern Living magazine. The annual two-day event takes place March 20-21 at Aaron Bessant Park will feature craft beer and wine tastings, creative cocktails, culinary creations by the South's top leading chefs, including Top Chef winner, Kelsey Barnard Clark, and live musical performances from eight time Grammy-nominated alternative rock band Death Cab for Cutie, and national recording artist, Joywave. Be sure to check out the partner toolkit, where you can find event logos, billboards, and more to assist you in marketing the event.
