Tourist Development Tax Collections for the month of March are down 51.1 percent from March 2018. 

Year-to-date collections are down 5.4 percent from the 2018 fiscal year.

Chasin' The Sun

Chasin The SunChasin’ The Sun, our award-winning fishing and coastal lifestyle television series, continues to share the wonders of Panama City Beach with a nationwide audience, both on demand and via traditional broadcast television. So far this year, the show has been seen by 4.4 million households on Discovery Channel and via syndication in local network affiliate markets. In addition, video streaming services (Amazon Prime, Outdoor America, Vudu and YouTube) have delivered nearly 23,000 hours of on-demand CTS-TV programming. The show can be seen on Discovery Channel at 7:30 a.m. CDT every Saturday through June and all episodes from seasons 1-5 are available at ChasinTheSunTV.com.

Sports Update

Sports UpdateWe are excited to announce a two year deal with USA Field Hockey to hold the USA Field Hockey Festival. The event will take place over Thanksgiving week and will bring over 100 teams, approximately 5000 visitors and an economic impact of over $5 million.  The organizers were introduced to our new park at the SPORTS 2019 conference last September and are excited to showcase the new turf complex for one of the largest field hockey events in the country that brings in all the top amateur teams and over 100 college coaches to the Thanksgiving week event.

For January 2021, the Flag Football World Championship will be coming to Panama City Beach! This event was last held in Orlando and brought in over 500 teams from 35 states. From January 13-18, the teams will compete for the National title in over a dozen styles of play from 4v4 to 9v9 and includes coed, womens and mens divisions.
